Families with Russian and Ukrainian Adoptions (FRUA)

Organized family focused, parent focused and child focused activities are offered.
Korean Identity Development Society (KIDS)
http://www.koreanidentity.orgKorean Identity Development Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization founded in 1981 to serve adoptive families and their Korean-born children. Focused on creating a safe, caring and supportive community, KIDS seeks to educate members about Korean heritage and encourages a positive sense of identity and Korean culture pride. Members enjoy a calendar of events, participating in educational programs, summer camp, family camping, picnics, holiday celebrations and opportunities to discuss the complexities and challenges facing multi-cultural adoptive families. KIDS welcomes a growing membership comprised of Korean-born adoptee’s and their parents, siblings, children and grandparents, primarily living in greater Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.
Families Like Ours (FLO)
http://www.familieslikeours.orgFamilies Like Ours, Inc. makes change by reducing barriers within the adoption and foster care communities. While Families Like Ours is the only national Adoption Exchange with a focus towards gay and lesbian adoptive families; they welcome the diversity of all pre and post adoptive-foster families so they can be permanent families for children in the U.S. foster care system.
Families with Children from China (FCC)

The organization sponsors events in the Puget Sound area including a Chinese New Year's celebration and an annual summer heritage camp. The organization also has an email list serve, quarterly newsletter and publishes an annual directory.
Northwest Ichild (India child)
http://www.nwichild.orgNorthwest Ichild (India) exists primarily as an email group on Yahoo! Most members are families who have adopted or plan to adopt a child from India. The group also welcomes families who have adopted or are planning to adopt children from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. They are open to anyone with a sincere interest in the issues relating to the adoption of children from these countries.
Korean Focus NW
http://www.koreanfocusnw.orgKorean Focus NW sponsors educational events, such as museum visits and Korean language and cooking classes; organizes informal picnics, playgroups, and a popular family camping trip each August; and celebrates Korean holidays, including Lunar New Year, the fall harvest festival Chusok, and Children’s Day in May. It is an organization in which education and mission come together with feasts of bulgogi and mooncakes, giggling children playing hide-and-seek, and lots of camaraderie.
Vietnamese Adoptee Network

Kitsap Foster Care Association (KFCA)

They are dedicated to the foster care system, foster parents and foster children living in Kitsap County Washington. Their membership is strictly voluntary and is made up of foster parents licensed by the State of Washington and other local, private, agencies. They exist to support the foster families with first time placements as well as seasoned foster parents.
Families with Children from Vietnam

Families with Children from Vietnam is an adoption support group for families who have
adopted or are in the process of adopting from Vietnam or individuals with interest in
Vietnam and adoption. Their purpose is to meet other adoptive families, share
experiences, and learn about Vietnamese culture. They have several events and meetings
throughout the year. All activities are for everyone in the family.
Tacoma Families with Children from Asia

Tacoma Families with Children from Asia is a group of adoptive and waiting families
living in Tacoma, Washington and surrounding area whose children were born in China,
Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka,
Eastern Russia and the former soviet republics. In addition to the internet forum, they
hold monthly get-togethers and inform group members of events of interest in
international adoption and Asian Culture in Tacoma and the Pacific Northwest.
Adoptive Friends and Families of Greater Seattle (AFFGS)

Social and educational meetings held throughout Puget Sound on regular bases. Childcare is usually provided.
