In my legal practice, it is important to me to be collaborative and respectful of all parties involved, regardless of differing opinions. I enjoying teaming with other like minded professionals and recently served on the Board and as Co-Chair of the Family Law Practice Group of King County Collaborative Law, a group of attorneys, therapists, child specialists, and financial professionals committed to providing a non-litigious mode of resolving their disputes. My experience and training as a mediator and Guardian ad Litem allow me to continually practice objectivity and neutrality. Responsiveness is important to me and I like to keep clients well informed. I have a very hands-on approach with my adoption cases so that I can support my clients throughout the process. I can provide mediation, legal coaching and coaching, unbundled services such as communication agreement review, and full legal representation.
I am a Seattle based adoption attorney. I am an adoptive parent, so I am intimately
familiar with the experiences you are having or soon will have. I have been committed to
adoption since I was a child. My family visited South Korea and missionaries asked if we
could deliver clothing and supplies to an orphanage we would soon pass by. I will never
forget the faces of the beautiful children who were soon to be adopted. I was haunted by
the faces of shy teenagers peeking from doorways; children whose hope of finding a
forever family grew dimmer as they aged. I knew then that I would somehow be involved in
adoption in my life. I went to law school with adoption law as a priority. I am
committed to serving children who need families. I have served as a volunteer with Holt
Orphanages in South Korea where I provided physical therapy and activity support to
physically and mentally challenged infants, children, and adults whose chances of
adoption are remote due to their disabilities.
